Edward C Ferguson, of Gering, NE died Jan 10, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff.
Military honors were provided by the Nebraska National Funeral Guard.
He was born on Sep 17, 1946 in Gering, NE to Warren K and Jessie J (Kenzy) Ferguson. He graduated from Gering High School in 1965. He served 20 years of military service, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. He established the first MARS station at Ft Campbell, KY and finished his service with the U.S. Army National Guard.
He started working at the Lockwood Corporation while still in high school and when not on active duty he worked there for 18 years. He spent the last 20+ years at his life's love, delivering pizza for Pizza Hut. He is best best remembered as being a dedicated family man. He could always be seen with a coffee cup in hand, a ball cap on his head, and under the hood of a car and all the antenna's on the roof.
He made his home in Gering with his daughter Courtney.
He was a member of the Tri-city Amature Radio Club; Skywarn and MARS.
Survivors include his daughter Courtney Vergetta Ferguson of Gering; sister Sherie S Turner of Salt Lake City, UT; 2 step daughters Danielle and Ramona; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his adopted second mom, Charlotte Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and June Saathoff.
