DONALD ANTOINE LaDEAUX (aka Duck) soared with the eagles on February 19, 2025, at age 77 years. The eldest son of Donald A. LaDeaux, Sr. & Sylvia G. (Brewer) Nelson. Services are pending. Don married Delores L. Shearer on June 21, 1974. A wonderful husband for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam campaign & Bronze Star recipient. Don retired from the National Park Service after over 45 years, last as a Restoration Specialist at Fort Laramie NHS. Starting as a Park Ranger and Maintenance Supervisor in several National Park facilities. He was a good, honorable and giving man, a great friend, fantastic animal lover, marvelous cook, lover of science fiction, an extremely stubborn man, (at times), with smiling eyes and a terrific laugh, creative and a marvelous artist, with a fabulous sense of humor. He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers (Michael LaDeaux & Terrance LaDeaux) one nephew (Billie LaDeaux). Survived by his wife Delores LaDeaux, brothers George LaDeaux of South Dakota and Robert (Christen) LaDeaux of Arizona. Niece Toni (LaDeaux) Whitman (Michael) and nephews Michale LaDeaux, Jr (Michael), Eric LaDeaux (George) and great nephew Tre Hafner (Robert). As well as many friends and extended family members. Here’s to you “Duck”, we love you, we miss you. You’ll be in our hearts forever. Thank you, God, for loaning him to us. Take care of him God, he’s a keeper.
